Eaton Corporation Lead Negotiation Application Engineer - Power Systems Controls in Franklin, Massachusetts
Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is currently seeking a Lead Negotiation Application Engineer - Power Systems Controls to join our team. This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
Position Overview:
The Power Systems Controls group is a full-service systems integrator with the capabilities to integrate the necessary equipment and technologies, to provide a complete, power automation solution. This team of engineers and technicians brings extensive skills and experiences with a variety of leading HMI software packages enabling us to design graphically rich, easy-to-use operator interfaces that take advantage of the latest standalone or web-based technologies. Our experience transcends a multitude of equipment manufacturers, software packages, and network architectures, including all major OEMs HMI, PLCs, and components. We offer single point responsibility, a high level of engineering and systems integration expertise, and a unified focus on cost effective solutions, seamless integration, HMI development, energy management tools, and professional turnkey system design and implementation.
This position supports proposal creation for the Power Systems Controls team in Eaton Engineering Services division.

In this function, you will:
Quote Power Systems Controls opportunities in the West & Gulf Zones
Provide a monthly report out of negotiation activities
Provide a quarterly presentation highlighting market conditions
Review customer specifications and bid documents and provide custom proposals
Document and organize all proposals on PSC’s share drive
Develop pricing for common applications and integrate that pricing into PSC’s quotation tool
Develop tools to automate proposal creation
Create marketing collateral for promotion of PSC’s business internally and externally
Pursue professional development in areas of growing market opportunity
Contribute to the annual Application Engineering conference
Assist with order-entry and hand-off to PSC engineers
Provide support to Eaton Application Engineers in efforts to influence customer and consultation specifications
Periodically work evenings or weekends to satisfy Bid-Due-Dates
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited institution OR minimum of ten (10) years of field service or project management or proposal generation experience with high school diploma required.
Minimum of 5 years of electrical industry experience
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the locations will be considered.
Preferred qualifications:
PE License
Experience in hands-on project engineering and programming experience in power system applications.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Position Success Criteria:
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Strong communication & presentation skills
Ability to work in teams effectively
Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
Successfully complete and maintain compliance with the company’s safety program
Strong working knowledge of Eaton and competitor automation hardware including programmable logic controllers, remote terminal units and multi-function protective relays
Strong understanding of multi-source and paralleling switchgear controls
Ability to travel, up to 20%.
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
