Advocates Residential Program Manager in Franklin, Massachusetts

Salary $44,600

Sign On Bonus $1,500.00

1/2 paid after 90 days of employment, remaining after 6 months

Promote the values,dreamsand potential of individuals with developmental disabilities through education and meaningful activities.

Program Managers oversee the day-to-day operations of residential program, providing leadership, guidance, and clinical support. As a program manager, you will ensure a safe and welcoming environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are treated with dignity and respect. The program manager is responsible for coordinating any services needed by the residents, such as appointments and assistive technology. You will be responsible for upkeep of the program, monitoring the program’s budget, and medication administration and management. The program manager also manages the staff schedule to ensure program coverage and serves on-call as needed. The program manager monitors trainings for all program staff and conducts regular staff meetings. Program managers work closely with parents and/or guardians to best support each resident. Additionally, program managers plan outings for program residents.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and commitment to, agency mission and values.

  • Promote the mission and values of HMEA through effective leadership.

  • Maintainaccurateand complete records and data necessary to meet the requirements of HMEA and other certifying or regulatory agencies.

  • Manage program and consumer fundsin accordance withHMEA policies and procedures.

  • Maintain agency standards for confidentiality.

  • Represent HMEA and the individuals supported in a positive and professional manner at all times.

  • Demonstrate effective use of analytical skills,past experienceand logicin order torendersound and objective decisions.

  • Promote teamwork; practice open communication and respect diversity.

  • Hire, train and supervise support staff.

  • Meet with support staff on a routine and regular basis as a group and individually.

  • Develop schedules andopportunitiesfor volunteer and/or communityact iviesthat areappropriateand meaningful to the individuals supported.

  • Assistand guide support staff to develop skillsrequiredfor professionalgrowth.

  • Ensure adequate staffing at all times.

  • Ensurerequired documentation, including assessments and evaluations, ina timelyand professional manner.

  • Communicatesignificant eventsto the Residential Coordinatorin a timely manner.

  • Complete requiredtrainingandmaintaincertifications.

  • Promote the health andwell-beingof the individual supported through ensuring quality health care andopportunitiesfor healthy lifestyles and choices.

  • Assistwith the development and implementation of ISP goals andobjectives, behavior support strategies and therapyservicesfor individualssupported.

  • Ensure the home is wellmaintainedand promotes a positive image.

  • Encourage and support individuals in making independent choices to the greatest extent possible.

  • Support the individuals to develop andmaintaindesired relationships.

  • Perform otherreasonably relatedduties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

  • Threeyears’experiencein developmental disabilities/behavioral health area preferred with supervisory experience.

  • Valid driver’s license along with an acceptable driving status.

  • Use of a reliable vehicle, which seats two passengers.

  • Additionalspecific experience may berequired.
