Our client south of Boston is looking to add a Test Technician to their team for a contract to hire opportunity! We are looking for candidates that have a passion for electrical systems and control panel designs. We need someone who has at least 2 years of experience with electrical testing in a manufacturing environment. Candidates who have worked on testing electrical control panels in the past will do very well here. Candidates should come with an AS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience. work hours: 7am to 3pm

responsibilities:

• Collaborate with panel designers and system engineers

• Conduct visual inspections

• Assess the quality of completed panel assemblies

• Perform point-to-point wiring validation

• Power up systems (line voltages up to 480 VAC, 3-phase)

• Upload PLC programs

• Connect field devices such as motors, sensors, and switches

• Execute system tests to verify proper device and system functionality

• Document the finished panel with photos, annotate engineering drawings (red-lines) to reflect "as-built," and prepare engineering change orders

• Record test results and update test procedures

• Provide manufacturing support as needed

• Have a fundamental understanding of electrical theory and the functionality of electrical components

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word, PDF creation, digital camera use, and cloud-based file storage
