LifePath, Inc Age-Friendly Program Director in Greenfield, Massachusetts

GREENFIELD - 5 YEAR GRANT-FUNDED POSITION - Age Friendly Program Director The Age-Friendly Program Director coordinates and fosters community engagement in Age- and Dementia-Friendly projects in the Franklin County and North Quabbin regions. The manager will work with partners to support coordinated efforts in LifePath\'s 30-town service area to create Age-Friendly communities focused on the eight WHO domains as demonstrated in the AARP Age-Friendly model. This work will be completed with a specific focus on reducing the root causes of inequitable health outcomes such as structural barriers, poverty, and racism. This is a five-year grant-funded position. Qualifications Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with community members, municipal leaders and professionals. Strong group facilitation skills and experience building consensus and buy-in. Enthusiasm for improvement for the community, by the community. Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing. Good public speaking skills with an ability to educate adults in a group setting, encouraging participation. Events management experience is a plus. Computer Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel); online communication tools such as GSuite; and teleconferencing tools like Zoom. Ability to take initiative and follow through on assigned duties, even when challenges arise; ability to work independently and solve problems creatively. Use of personal cell phone, data and company provided application(s). Familiarity with local government structure in MA. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage local bodies that work with aging populations and those affected by them (government, COAs, housing authorities, coalitions, transportation providers, medical contacts, etc.) and identify local champions to work with their Select Boards to complete actions from the Action Plan. Perform outreach activities and community engagement to achieve goals using various strategies such as media, one on one networking, and public speaking, especially with marginalized groups like residents of subsidized housing, individuals living with a disability, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC individuals. Convene and orient members on the Steering committee, including new Priority Perspective members. Plan agendas, lead meetings, keep meeting notes, and attend to action items and follow-up. Serve as the liaison with our contracted partner(s). Advocate for regional policy and system change action items as identified in the Action Plan and grant proposals. Oversee the equitable distribution of funding for projects under the advisement of the Steering Committee. Conduct trainings and information sessions about Age- and Dementia-Friendly work for local municipal leaders, community members, and professionals. Other activities may include surveys, focus groups, and public meetings inviting broad public participation and input from the community. Provide direct technical assistance to towns or groups of towns to adopt Age- and Dementia Friendly policies. Collect, analyze, and report on program performance and outcomes data as needed for grants, management, and community engagement. Other activities as assigned.
