Actalent Quality Engineer in Greenfield, Massachusetts

Looking for a Hardworking and Dedicated Quality Engineer!

Job Description

The quality engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of quality control and assurance management systems to ensure that products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality levels.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and determine root cause for customer and internal preventative actions.

  • Prepare product certification documentation required to demonstrate compliance.

  • Support vendor qualification, auditing, onboarding, and performance management.

  • Conduct process capability analysis and prepare statistical process control charts aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.

  • Execute the metrology program for quality test equipment, including internal and external calibration and verification activities, ensuring they are completed and maintained as current throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Assist with management of the quality hold area and complete appropriate documentation to ensure the control of nonconforming product.

  • Drive continuous improvements to enhance process capability, increase quality, and reduce waste.

  • Troubleshoot quality issues on the production floor using an analytical approach and data analysis to draw conclusions and work with the production team towards a resolution.

  • Support the internal audit program.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline

  • 5+ years' experience as a quality engineer

  • Medical industry experience (nice to have)

  • Automotive industry experience (nice to have)

Work Environment

The work environment includes working closely with the production team on the floor to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues. The role involves frequent interaction with vendors for qualification, auditing, onboarding, and performance management. The quality engineer will handle quality test equipment calibration and verification, ensuring compliance with standards and continuous improvement practices. This role requires a strong analytical approach and data analysis skills to drive resolutions and improvements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $115000.00
