Insight Global Network Administrator in Hanscom Afb, Massachusetts

Job Description

An employer is seeking a Network Administrator to provide infrastructure support at Hanscom AFB. This resource will advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

-Analyzing and recommending network requirements.

-Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.

-Analyzing network workload.

-Monitoring network capacity and performance.

-Diagnosing and resolving network problems.

-Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.

-Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.

Compensation:

$45/hr to $65/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a network administration or engineering position.

  • Must hold, or be able to obtain, the Security+ certification.

  • Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls

  • Must be able to use/configure/troubleshoot/operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and/or HP network devices.

  • Active Secret clearance - Cisco, Brocade, HP, or Juniper certifications highly desired

  • Previous experience working in a lab environment

  • CCNA null
