We seek leaders who are committed to the community college mission, actively engaged in promoting diversity, and prepared to use their unique strengths and innovation with the goal of student success. * Job Description:* POSITION: Full-Time Psychology Faculty and Coordinator of the Psychology Associate Degree Program: *Assistant Professor; Department of Behavioral Sciences, Division of Liberal Arts, Tenure Track; Haverhill Campus; 37.5 hours per week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position *SUMMARY: *The Department of Behavioral Sciences and the Division of Liberal Arts is seeking an engaged Psychology educator and academic leader to teach a range of Psychology classes and coordinate the Liberal Arts: Psychology Associate Degree program. *RESPONSIBILITIES: * The successful candidate will be expected to: * Teach a variety of Psychology courses as assigned. * Serve as Program Coordinator for the Liberal Arts: Psychology Associate Degree, which includes curriculum development, academic assessment, program review, and student advising. * As Program Coordinator, develop and lead program-building efforts for the Liberal Arts: Psychology Associate Degree, including coordinating community-building events and chairing advisory board. * Participate and collaborate in departmental and division meetings and activities * Complete online course development and training as necessary * Teach assigned classes on NECC's Haverhill and Lawrence campuses * Perform required college service * Serve as academic advisor to assigned students * Maintain office hours * Other related responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Liberal Arts *PLEASE NOTE, WE DO NOT REVIEW APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH MASSCAREERS. PLEASE APPLY VIA THE LINK BELOW: https://necc.interviewexchange.com/jobofferdetails.jsp?JOBID=179749 Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in a related field * Experience teaching Psychology or related field at a college or high school level * Experience using technology in instruction and assessment * Commitment to teaching and responding to the educational needs of community college students * Ability to teach effectively and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population * Demonstrated interest or experience in faculty leadership roles PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Community college teaching experience * Graduate degree in Psychology * Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds * Bilingual (Spanish/English) BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment. * Additional Information:* SALARY: *Anticipated starting salary range is$56,190.00 - $66,039.00(Rank of Assistant Professor with a Master's degree) per academic year with complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
