Admissions Clerk Job Type - Temporary Pay Rate - \$18.05 - \$20.90 / Hourly Description We are offering an opportunity for an Admissions Representative role in the education industry, specifically at a university in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In this role, you\'ll be providing key support in the Admissions Office, handling various tasks ranging from data entry to customer service, both in-person and over the phone. You\'ll be the point of contact for students, staff, and the general public regarding admissions-related matters. Responsibilities: Conduct data entry and data correction of prospective student information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Perform initial recruitment follow-up with students who are missing information. Serve as the front-desk representative, assisting visitors and students in person and via phone or email. Provide admission forms and general information about the university, guide prospective applicants through the steps to becoming a student, and offer other related enrollment service materials. Proctor placement tests as needed. Receive, process, and distribute the Admissions office mail. Assist in scheduling appointments for admissions counselors. Utilize web-based applications and databases proficiently to manage student information. Work effectively in a diverse environment, demonstrating critical thinking, relationship building, organizational and problem-solving skills. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel Experience with Ellucian Banner or similar student information system is preferred Proven skills in data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong customer service skills with experience in answering inbound calls and managing a multi-line phone system Experience in a student affairs setting, ideally within a higher education institution Fluent in Spanish language, both written and spoken Ability to handle and respond to inquiries effectively and professionally Experience in scheduling appointments and managing calendars Understanding of admissions processes and procedures in a university environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
