Job description:

• Evaluating plant growth under a variety of plasma treatment conditions. Changes that happen with seed physiology,

• Conducts research to understand the biology and physiology of plants under plasma treatment, including their growth, development, and responses to environmental factors such as light, temperature, and moisture.

• Statistical design, scheduling, management, and execution of trials with Contract Research Organizations (CRO's) including location identification, trial planting, in-season trial maintenance, harvesting, data collation and analysis, and reporting.

• Coordinates and/or collects trial samples; prepares and sends trial materials to CRO’s

• Collects notes, data, and photo images on field emergence and stand establishment, crop yields, environmental factors, and other factors that affect agricultural productivity. Travels to trial locations

• Provides written agronomy research summaries

• Prepares presentations and presents research findings to internal and external stakeholders

• Manage all data and trial information

• Conducts data analytic

• Attend conferences and participates in industry workshops and committees with membership organizations.

Additional skills & qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in a relevant field such as Agronomy, Biology, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology or Related Fields.

• 3-5 years of research experience with an emphasis in field and/or greenhouse trials.

• Experience in trial design, data management, analysis and reporting, and statistics.

• Strong ability to analyze data, visualize data, and prepare reports and presentations.

• Hard working, goal oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment.

• Ability to travel within the USA when needed or requested.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Strong organizational, time-management and attention to detail skills.

Work Environment:

• Lab of 5 chemists and a few jr. chemists

• Goal is to complement skill of pathologist at a sr. level

• Will be in the lab and office setting, as well as traveling to meet with clients

• Team size is 3-4 people

• Opportunity to move in lab manager role!

Schedule & location:

• 9am-5pm

• Holyoke, MA

Salary:

• Starting at 65k for entry level candidates

Experience Level:

• Intermediate Level
