Position: Full-Time Employment & Training Program Manager Location: Holyoke, MA Rate of pay: $22.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm Summary: Teach in a non-traditional setting as you play a key role in helping students age 14-22 gain the skills necessary to transition from school to successful employment or to post-secondary education. Work with local school districts, higher education programs, and community employers to create opportunities for students to engage in job exploration, workplace readiness training, and work-based learning experiences. Facilitate classes with small groups of students in a classroom setting without the constraints of the public school system. Lessons, activities, and outings, are fun and engaging, while also inspiring students to reach their full potential. Responsibilities include vocational guidance, job development, assessments and evaluations, onsite job coaching, employer education, customer relations, post-secondary education, and workplace readiness training. The Program Manager is responsible for the development and effective operation of all functions within the Holyoke Community Employment Program. S/ he assures that all objectives are met and works with the Director to ensure that all operations are managed within budgetary limits. The Program Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of staff for all programs. In addition, the Program Manager participates in management tasks in the running of the office and provides back-up support in other programs. The Program Manager implements the organization's mission and values by supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Qualifications: Master's degree with five years related experience OR Bachelor's degree with seven years related experience OR Associate's degree with ten years related experience OR High School degree with twelve years related experience with one year experience in a supervisory role and demonstrated completion of an approved supervisory training program. Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations. Requirements: Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential. Valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle with compulsory auto insurance and vehicle registration, and willingness to transport program members in personal and/ or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with funders, employers, and community partners, leading to ongoing growth of assigned programs.
