Dell Senior Animator & Graphic Artist (TMS) in Hopkinton, Massachusetts

Join us as a Senior Animator & Graphic Artist. This position is 100% Remote.

What you’ll achieve

In joining our exciting newly created team, Technical Media Services, you will assist the ISG Technical Marketing teams in creating innovative and compelling technical video content for our customers. Technical Media Services allows Dell Technologies to remain competitive by assisting our Technical Marketing teams with creating what today's consumer is demanding: world class technical content that is engaging, educates the customer about our products, and tells a great story. As a Senior Animator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of technical video content from ideation to final output and ensuring the final result adheres to the Dell Brand standards. You will work with the ISG Technical Marketing teams on technical digital media projects for all ISG products .

You will:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of technical video content from ideation to final output:

  • Direct and guide junior animators as a team lead and set the standards for them to follow

  • Drive the content and story brainstorming process, working closely with subject matter experts to determine a creative way to communicate their story and bring their vision to life

  • Create a well-planned storyboard to communicate the concept of the video to the SME and the broader team

  • Capture screen recordings, create graphics, create engaging animation, edit and assemble video footage, add callouts and transitions, record and edit voice over, incorporate music and/or sound effects, mix audio, and export final output as appropriate for the video project

  • Organize projects/media in a logical fashion to be easily shared among the team

  • Adhere and advocate for Dell Brand standards

  • Maintain a clear understanding of Dell messaging and objectives

Essential Requirements

  • Proficient with the Adobe Suite of applications (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Audition)

  • 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced design and motion graphics role

  • A knack for conceptualizing creative, clever, and compelling video content with exceptional storytelling skills

  • Must provide a reel showcasing motion graphic work

  • Must demonstrate the ability to create a well-organized After Effects and Premiere Pro project

  • Ability to stay up to date on new technology and trends in the motion graphics space

  • Have a strong understanding of video codecs and where and when to use them

  • UX Mindset: using design and motion purposefully to drive engagement and action

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Should feel comfortable asking for feedback and/or trying to move projects in different creative directions when necessary.

  • A strong work ethic and ability to self-start, with a positive attitude that can adapt quickly to change

  • Attention to detail, well organized with excellent prioritization and time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to build strong relationships and work across multiple functions and teams

Desirable Requirements

  • Proficiency with audio mixing and color grading is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in animation, film studies, cinematography or related fields is a plus

  • Experience with Element 3D and Cinema 4D is a plus

  • Experience with livestreaming is a plus

  • Familiarity with special effects is a plus

  • Familiarity with datacenter technologies allowing the ability to converse with Technologists to understand their project needs is a plus (technology expertise is not needed for this role)
