The part-time Counter Sales Associate functions as an essential part of the public persona of Marylou?s Coffee. The Counter Sales Associate will be capable of working in a fast-paced team & customer-oriented environment while promoting Marylou?s mission & vision. This position requires an individual who is reliable, personable, upbeat, efficient, knowledgeable, & a multitasker. Essential functions include effective communication skills, problem-solving skills, supporting a positive team culture, ability to follow instructions, & competency in utilizing cafe machinery with a direct report to the cafe manager/assistant manager. They will be required to welcome customers, answer questions, promote our products, & maintain a clean, well-stocked environment while accurately fulfilling & ringing up orders on the POS register. A. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Always maintain a cheerful, positive, & respectful attitude that demonstrates professional conduct towards customers, coworkers, & management. Greet customers promptly in a warm, friendly, welcoming manner. Politely request & fulfill customer orders. Kindly thank customers for their business. Upsell products to enhance cafe profitability. Promote new products & specials. Deliver orders accurately in a timely manner. Be knowledgeable of all Marylou?s recipes, products & ingredients, prices, & equipment. Adhere to Marylou?s recipe & presentation standards. Sustain a clean, organized, well-stocked cafe according to Marylou?s guidelines. Complete & record all logs, duty sheets, & monthly cleaning lists according to Marylou?s guidelines & procedures. Complete all other duties assigned by management according to Marylou?s procedures. Utilize the POS registers according to Marylou\'s policies & procedures to ring all customer transactions as ordered. Accept payment from customers & make change as necessary. Maintain cash accuracy during POS transactions according to Marylou?s procedures & guidelines. Accurately record tips on POS register for compliance according to Marylou?s policies & guidelines. Maintain sanitary standards using Marylou\'s proper procedures in accordance with local & state health laws & guidelines. Works collaboratively & functions as an effective member of the caf?. Illustrate Marylou\'s core values into all aspects of employment. Maintain a cheerful, positive, & respectful attitude that demonstrates professional conduct towards coworkers, & management. Perform as a team while creating a fun & friendly atmosphere. Work collaboratively with co-workers & management. Contribute to the efficient operation of the caf? using time management & initiating team efforts. Effectively communicate with team & management to ensure 100% customer service accuracy. Follow through on management?s instructions for best team outcomes. Brew, log, taste test, store, & serve fresh coffee according to Marylou?s guidelines & procedures. Monitor & replenish coffee & supplies for workstations. Monitor, clean, & replenish pastry trays & baskets according to Marylou?s guidelines & procedures. Monitor, clean, & replenish front lobby/counter area according to Marylou?s guidelines & procedures. Attending quarterly cafe meetings. Participate in caf? training & testing sessions. Contribute to quality improvement efforts of Marylou?s procedures & processes. Assist in deliveries of inventory, handle & move products, & maintain a safe environment according to Marylou?s guidelines & procedures. Report issues & respectfully suggest solutions & alternatives to management. B. Complies with Marylou\'s policies, procedures, work rules & standards of conduct. Part-time employees are not permitted to work more than 28 hours per week unless authorized by management. Compliance with OSHA & SDS guidelines. Dress appropriately in Marylou\'s uniform.
