This is a critical role responsible for complex machining to create close tolerance, aerospace / automotive / energy systems and firearms components. If you have 10+ years of Toolmaking machining, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: -Set-up and perform machining operation on complex machines in the tool room, CNC is a plus, wire EDM, and OD Grinders to create and prototype product parts, components, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and other machined items. -Analize, understand and take direction from blueprints. Able to complete complex tasks with autonomy. - Creating Solid models using Fusion 360, selecting materials and tooling, creating drawings, producing CNC code, and overseeing the completion of components is a plus -Assisting with troubleshooting machining processes and equipment problems. - Understanding and performing to quality standards, utilizing inspection devices, and accurately reporting. - Must follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Report to supervisor of malfunctions. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: -Working Knowledge of OD grinders -Knowledgeable of in-process inspection techniques, standards, and requirements. Able to use and interpret precision measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and various hand tools i.e. gauges to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of components. -Knowledge of metal characteristics in a production setting is desirable. -Machinists must have good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills. -Must work well with colleagues, supervision and management.
