Philips Ultrasound Field Service Engineer (Home-Based: Arlington, TX) in Jackson, Massachusetts
Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and
maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for
assigned projects. Interprets customer needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales
personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not
limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking. Performs, as an experienced
specialized worker, assignments that require broad consultation of specialists to get a clear view on WHAT has
to be delivered and complex analysis of the available data in order to decide HOW to best carry out the
assignment. Finds solutions by involving data from multiple resources using Root Cause Analysis. Takes
initiative and identifies problems in actual way of working, formulates alternatives and recommendations;
develops and introduces new supporting sub-processes and improves existing processes. Initiates & runs small
improvement projects. Acts as an informal resource or (functional) supervisor for less experienced colleagues.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Support Philips Ultrasound business in the Arlington, TX area. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites; generate service revenue; adherence to state and federal regulatory requirements.
You are responsible for
Assist in service repair, preventative maintenance, field change orders / installations.
Identification and resolution of customer issues, providing the customer with the appropriate communication and involving appropriate Service and Sales Personnel
Operate under required knowledge of regulatory requirement (Federal and State Radiation performance standards, registration, Quality Systems Regulations, EPA regulations and OSHA regulations
Defines problems: Collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Has the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
BSEE/BSEET preferred, or two year formal education combined with appropriate high tech related experience
At least three years of experience demonstrating repair and troubleshooting skills with Ultrasound or Diagnostic Imaging equipment is preferred
Understand and apply electronic, mechanical and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment. Understanding of mechanical theory preferred.
Strong organizational skills, self-disciplined and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with various levels of employees and customers both verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively operate in a team driven environment to achieve assigned goals and objectives.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
This position will require you to meet all customer specific mandates such as vaccinations and or screening tests.
