Massachusetts Employer Bilingual Receptionist in Lawrence, Massachusetts

The Bilingual Receptionist will provide agency-wide administrative support, greet visitors, answer phones, and assist in the day-to-day agency activities. We are seeking applicants with administrative support skills and experience in Human Services environment. A culturally competent individual with willingness to show a commitment to Living philosophy and values. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions: Answering the main phone line and directing callers appropriately Information & Referral support Front desk coverage Handling the mail and postage system Administrative project support as requested Light housekeeping Other duties as assigned Interpersonal Communication: Model integrity, personal and professional ethics and maintain confidential consumer and organizational data Maintain a positive working relationship with consumers, co-workers, referral sources and others to achieve positive outcomes Maintain updated computer technology competencies i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and WILD Teamwork and Cooperation: Work as an effective team member in a collaborative manner through strong individual contribution and commitment Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills, both verbally, written, and in electronic formats Workplace Performance and Professional Development: Achieves positive consumer relationships within his/her control, and contributes to a positive public image of the overall organization Maintains a positive work setting through planning and effective use of benefit time Commitment to continuous improvement strategies and demonstration of the knowledge, skills and abilities related to this position Participates in continuing education, training, and staff development opportunities Provides formal and informal transfer of knowledge and peer mentoring leadership Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Spanish required High school graduate with minimum of two years secretarial experience Excellent word processing skills, writing skills, computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Internet) Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment Excellent organizational and communication/interpersonal skills Awareness and sensitivity to disability and multicultural issues Preference will be given for persons living with a disability or with significant personal experience with disability
