Fresenius Medical Care North America Clinical Marketing Manager – Critical Care in Lawrence, Massachusetts

Position Summary :

This individual will support NxStage Medical’s field and internal teams in the Critical Care Division. He/she will report directly to the Director of Marketing – Critical Care and be responsible for serving as the clinical subject matter expert throughout cross functional teams to advance and streamline internal processes and generation of deliverables. They will be involved in a range of actions related to the development of the therapy and market, as well as traditional downstream marketing activities related to brand development, product launches, sales and marketing support, educational and sales content creation, and development of competitive strategies. They will be working cross-functionally to analyze the evidence landscape for the technology, define future evidence needs and participate in strategic planning. They will also play a key role in developing and growing thought-leader relationships and identifying engagement opportunities. Focus of role also encompasses ensuring that deliverables are of high quality and are provided in a manner to support the overall clinical and business objectives.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate as the clinical subject matter expert with cross functional teams (CC&V leadership, sales management, marketing, product development, training management, usability engineering) to ensure alignment of clinical content, messaging, strategic direction, and next generation device development

  • Lead in process improvement projects by driving program effectiveness, innovation and ensuring overall stakeholder satisfaction from a content and educational perspective.

  • Provide innovative solutions and deliverables to meet needs and ensure success of field-based teams and external stakeholders

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and customers regarding market research and potential projects to complement product development and positioning strategies

  • Identify ongoing educational, project and content needs. Develop and manage the implementation of the identified projects and ongoing needs in partnership with key stakeholders

  • Act as core clinical team lead to develop plans and programs that meet the changing needs and priorities of the business while partnering with cross functional teams

  • Measure effectiveness of educational tools, resources, and programs

  • Supports Clinical Consultants, Therapy Specialists, and ASMs

  • Provide clinical expertise on all aspects of product lines and projects including development, design validation, training, and marketing.

  • Effectively manage and summarize key messages of clinical data, competitive positioning, and industry news to support clinical and sales efforts

  • Identify opportunities for differentiation to drive strategic direction of therapy/ product and effectively position against competition

  • Review, identify and disseminate key sessions and information from pertinent literature or scientific programs/conferences to various knowledge levels and roles

  • Support advisory boards and educational forums

  • Foster relationships with key opinion leaders through voice of customer initiatives and collaborative external partnerships

  • Develop, execute, track, and report on an External Engagement Program Strategic Plan created in collaboration with cross-functional partners

  • Maintain relevant clinical, business, and account knowledge in RRT space to best support field and internal teams

  • Management of all labeling materials through document control processes.

  • Participation in trade shows with presentations, booth or suite presentations as needed.

  • Provide expertise to marketing, clinical and engineering product development, testing and device testing.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISION:

  • Potential to manage a summer intern

EDUCATION:

  • B.S./B.A. in nursing or similar field

Qualifications:

  • Current RN Licensure required

  • 5+ years of account management and clinical education, with at least 3 years in the dialysis industry

  • 3 Years of Critical Care experience

  • At least 1 year of top critical care/teaching hospital sales experience

  • Travel required up to 50%

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate cross functionally

  • Demonstrate solution-seeking and analytical thinking

  • Possess industry knowledge, both industry and hospital based workflows

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
