Job Description:

  • Sign on bonus of $1200

  • Bilingual Candidates Helpful (Spanish/Portuguese)

  • Schedule: 16hrs, Sat & Sun (8:45am-5:15pm)

The Milieu Monitor is responsible for conducting ongoing observation of clients awaiting Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC). The milieu monitor observes the health and safety of the clients in the waiting room(s) and escalates any change in physical or psychiatric presentation to the appropriate clinical and/or medical CBHC staff member.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greets clients entering the waiting room in a manner that is respectful and empathetic.

  2. Promotes a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for clients awaiting CBHC services.

  3. Monitors clients in the waiting room and escalates any significant changes in physical or psychiatric presentation to the clinical and/or medical team.

  4. Maintains security awareness.

  5. Uses de-escalation behavior management techniques, as needed.

  6. Answers common, non-clinical questions and escalates questions as appropriate

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Ability and desire to work with a diverse client population.

Schedule: PT 16 hrs, Sat & Sun (8:45am-5:15pm)
