We seek leaders who are committed to the community college mission, actively engaged in promoting diversity, and prepared to use their unique strengths and innovation with the goal of student success. * Job Description:* POSITION: Full-Time Nursing Faculty: Nursing Department; Division of Health Professions; Tenure Track; Lawrence Campus, (414 Common Street); 37.5 hours/week; MCCC/MTA Unit Faculty Position, Position based on funding RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to: * Works as a member of the teaching teams to teach Medical Surgical Nursing, Skills Lab, and Pharmacology. * Participate in College service activities. * Actively participate on assigned program committees, including subcommittee work. * Maintain Office hours and advise students. * Use new simulations and computer technologies in the classroom, as appropriate, to facilitate learning. * Actively engage in the development, implementation and evaluation of all components of the systematic program evaluation. * Participate in curriculum development, implementation, assessment and revision using defined program outcomes. * Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate content in the areas and courses based upon expertise. * Provide clinical instruction to nursing students as assigned to plan clinical assignments in accordance with course curriculum and student learning needs. * Teach in the nursing laboratory as assigned. * Evaluate student performance in the classroom and clinical setting. * Utilize a variety of appropriate teaching strategies to promote students' critical thinking * Develop instructional material consistent with course objectives. * Participate in determining appropriate goals and objectives of nursing course and assist in developing course standards. * Plan clinical assignments in accordance with course curriculum and student learning needs. * Interact on an ongoing basis with clinical agency personnel to foster a positive learning environment. * Maintain expertise and currency in the area of nursing and teaching responsibility. * Comply with the duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement. * Willingness to teach the alternative option as hybrid and or videoconferencing teaching experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Highly experienced and skilled in undergraduate nursing curriculum and course development. * Experience in simulation development, implementation, and evaluation would be a plus. * Knowledge of ACEN accreditation standards and criteria; MA BORN Regulations for nursing programs. * Understanding of healthcare disparities and needs of historically underserved communities. * Face to Face, online, hybrid and or videoconferencing teaching experience. * Bilingual (Spanish/English) * Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment. * Additional Information:* SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $66,528.00 to $72,573.00 per academic year with complete fringe benefit package.
