Lawrence General Hospital Patient Transporter in Lawrence, Massachusetts
As a Patient Assistance Liaison, you will provide excellent customer service to both patients and hospital departments while proving safe patient handling and equipment distribution. The Patient Assistance Liaison complies with all regulatory requirements and staff competencies and collaborates with engineering to ensure appropriate maintenance of all equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists patients of varying mobility to ambulatory equipment, employing lateral transfer techniques and/or lifting devices when needed.
Transfers patients to and from appointments.
Transfers medical equipment and other supplies between departments.
Provides excellent customer service to both patients and staff.
Maintain cleanliness of the clinical equipment department and ensures equipment is stored properly.
Communicate issues, barriers, relevant info effectively to supervisor
Shows ability to prioritize. Uses critical thinking and brainstorming to resolve issues. Completes required follow-up.
Works closely with nursing departments to maintain safe patient handling competencies.
Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and to function under stressful situations, and work independently.
Completes other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior medical and/or customer service experience preferred
