Emerson Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift in Lawrence, Massachusetts

If you're enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment and making a significant impact, Emerson in Lawrence has the perfect second shift role for you! You'll be guiding the manufacturing departments and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our employees.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Schedule molding press operators.

  • Supervise Stock Prep, Setup, Preform and Trimming departments to ensure they are following schedule assigned by 2nd shift Supervisors / Lead People.

  • Review and signoff on time sheet report by 2:00 pm every Monday.

  • Monitor machine operators and review production process to ensure:

  • Acceptable production rate

  • Acceptable quality and scrap rate

  • Material move tags are completed accurately (incl. lot #’s)

  • Ensure accurate processes and procedures are being followed.

  • Ensure material identification and manufacturing processes are accurately being followed.

  • Ability to operate molding & trim presses and trouble-shoot jobs.

  • Train molders how to handle the loading / unloading process.

  • Supervise subassembly supplies to ensure material is available to mold.

  • Check for shortfalls that may impact first shift operations.

  • Spend much of your time on the manufacturing floor (85% - 90%)

  • Must be willing to work at some overtime per week.

  • Maintains Company property, supplies and equipment in a manner that demonstrates ownership and accountability.

Who You Are:

You optimally communicate in various settings as one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You define issues and can map out a process, you ensure subordinates are meeting quantity and quality expectations and are working safely.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience

  • Mechanical proficiency

  • Basic math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

  • Five (5) years of functional and/or operational experience in manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to apply interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Previous experience working with elastomers

  • Systems experience is a plus. (Oracle, Kronos, Excel, PowerPoint).
