Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood TMC Artist Assistant in Lenox, Massachusetts
SUMMARY The TMC Artist Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to faculty, visiting artists, and other TMC staff, including matters related to housing and transportation. RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist all TMC faculty, Boston Symphony Orchestra faculty members, and guest artists with logistical information, program policies, and classroom needs. - Daily complementary ticket tracking and dissemination for TMC faculty and guest faculty. - Organize and distribute memos, grounds and parking passes, contact lists, welcome packets and arrival and departure schedules. - Transport faculty and special guests to and from Tanglewood. Pick-up and return from Hartford, Albany, and other locations when necessary. - Collaborate with the Tanglewood Housing Coordinator to manage the faculty housing inventory and scheduling of residencies and cleaning services. - Perform short errands and transportation to and from concerts and receptions for faculty, staff and guests of the TMC as necessary. - Provide clerical support for the TMC Staff as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS - Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong attention to detail, customer service focus and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work with minimum supervision and exercise independent judgement. - Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects. - Willingness to work occasional long or unconventional hours. - Knowledge of and interest in classical music. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity. - Valid Driver\'s license and a clean driving record (a copy of which must be provided from applicant\'s local Department of Motor Vehicles). - Familiarity with Tanglewood and classical music. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
