MIT Lincoln Laboratory Assistant Staff: Advanced Signal Processing and Estimation in Lexington, Massachusetts

Job Description

The Advanced Undersea Systems and Technology Group is seeking a scientist or engineer to contribute to the research and deployment of advanced capabilities for undersea systems. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with experience in scientific programming for signal processing problems.

The group welcomes applicants with a background in one or more of the following technical disciplines: electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied mathematics, computer science or data science.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to improve the capabilities of undersea systems, sensors and platforms through algorithm development, data analysis from operational environments, and application of novel algorithms to emerging mission areas.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, computer science or related technical field.

  • Ability to program in a scientific programming language (e.g. MATLAB or Python)

  • Experience with digital signal processing and signal/time series analysis

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with application of AI/ML tools (e.g. Tensorflow) to time-series data
