TEKsystems Medical Secretary in lexington, Massachusetts

Looking for a POLISHED admin, medical experience is a plus and Epic experience is a must. Must be able to multitask. must remain calm under pressure. Patients can be demanding. Must work well with others. Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing equipment, and personal computers. Telephone manner and ability to communicate with patients, physicians, and other professional staff. Excellent follow through skills

Description:

A temporary medical secretary needed ASAP until the end August/September, but there is a chance to be hired for the right candidate. As a Medical Secretary you are responsible for checking patients in and out, making sure charts are up to date, registration, scheduling follow up appointments. Clerical work, phone work, some triaging, insurance referrals, heavy documentation. Use EPIC to maintain patient records, verify patient demographic information.

SHIFT:

M-F 9-5pm

No nights or weekends required

Free Onsite Parking

Skills/MUST HAVES:

  • Medical admin experience

  • Epic experience highly preferred

  • Insurance Referrals experience

  • Medical Terminology

  • Medical record

  • Patient intake and scheduling

  • Insurance verification and referrals
