About the role:

As the Senior Manager of Master Data Stewardship & Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational aspects of our Master Data team and driving initiatives to continually find new ways to introduce automation and efficiency, especially in activities such as data stewardship. Reporting to the Director of Master Data, you will be responsible for managing a team of data stewards, overseeing manual data corrections, and ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day MDM operations. Additionally, you will lead research efforts into evolving trends in automation in this space with a focus on leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Your role will involve developing metrics, KPIs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that help Takeda prioritize work, measure performance, and ensure adherence to established MDM standards across all domains, including Commercial, Specialty, Market Access, and Marketing.

How you will contribute:

  • Oversee a team of data stewards responsible for performing manual data corrections and fulfilling data change requests (DCRs) received from the field force.

  • Manage outsourced labor teams and offshore vendors, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Lead research efforts into automated data stewardship trends and technologies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Develop and implement metrics, KPIs, and SOPs to prioritize work, measure performance, and ensure consistency and accuracy in data stewardship operations.

  • Collaborate with teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities, driving initiatives to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.

  • Support all domains within the master data team, ensuring alignment with standards and processes and providing support.

  • Guide communication between the process and governance team and operational teams, ensuring alignment of standards and execution of processes.

  • Escalate and elevate issues or concerns to senior leadership as needed, providing recommendations for resolution and mitigation.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in data stewardship and automation, incorporating relevant insights into operational strategies and initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the master data operations team, driving initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of management level experience in the pharmaceutical, immunology, biologic/biotech, or medical device industries.

  • Proven track record of leading and driving business process transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience leading a medium to large team and influencing leaders and key stakeholders (consider if role is leading people vs. individual contributor)

  • Analytical skills and can support budget management activities

  • Demonstrate strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for their responsibilities

  • Successful leadership, and development of small teams.

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry desired.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
