Solidus Technical Solutions, Inc. Systems Analyst Air Defense Systems in Lexington, Massachusetts
Solidus is looking for a Systems Analyst with a broad knowledge of air defense systems, aircraft, electronic counter measures, sensors, communications, command/control processing and weapons. The Advanced Capabilities and Systems team provides assessments of novel technologies and systems concepts in order to provide solutions to meet significant defense and intelligence needs. The group rapidly develops prototype solutions to demonstrate concepts or provide field-able capabilities.
Algorithm development based on fundamental physics and communication/networking principles
Development and/or modification of a broad suite of defense modeling tools: sensor (both passive and active), state estimation, communication, command/control processing, weapon engagement and mission planning capabilities
Perform systems analysis, in part by exercising modeling tools, to answer questions of interest to defense community
Survey and capture recent intelligence and/or test data to inform model parameter selections and overall model validity.
Prepare/present summaries of technical investigations and intelligence findings.
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance
Active Top Secret Clearance
PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years minimum experience
C++ and MATLAB proficiency
Previous experience developing defense based models, both the conceptual construct and coding in software
Very comfortable with fundamental physics and engineering level mathematics
Strong background in software development and experience working with subject matter experts to develop specific software well suited for systems analysts' use.
Experience with adapting standalone code to run on parallel systems
Familiarity with DoD R&D survivability modeling codes/analysis approaches
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated initiative and ability to appropriately prioritize detailed work tasks based on high-level guidance of project's overall technical goals.
