FirstFuel Technical Writer in Lexington, Massachusetts

Come work with us in a fast-paced, agile environment! We’ll help you get up to speed on the FirstFuel products so that you can describe it to our customers in clear and concise terms. You’ll play an important role in the Product team to gain product adoption by explaining the benefits and capabilities of the features. You’ll be the documentation leader responsible for the suite of product documentation and release notes for a variety of audiences, from end-users to administrators to developers. You’ll work with awesome developers, product managers, QA, and UX in a vibrant, open environment where knowledge and ideas are shared, and everyone pitches in to help each other achieve product milestones.

The Person

  • Ability to collaborate proactively with cross-functional local and remote teams

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, but able to solicit and incorporate feedback from oth

  • Solely responsible for authoring customer-facing documentation including technical briefs, release notes, online guides, REST API documentation, and data specifications.

  • Serve as Project Manager, communicating schedules and status updates for all deliverables.

  • Develop streamlined processes for gathering and re-using content to avoid redundancy and multiple sources of truth.

  • Develop new modern framework for online documenta

  • 5+ years proven experience in documenting complex enterprise software products and the ability to organize and present a range of technical material to a variety of audiences.

  • Comfortable with technical concepts, e.g. APIs, data specs, and configuration, but able to translate concepts into user-friendly prose and diagrams.

  • Experience with MadCap Flare.

  • Experience documenting APIs by extending documentation generated by Swagger.

  • Ability to produce new content or revise existing content quickly.

  • Experience with agile development processes a plus

  • Helpful to have an understanding of REST API design, general programming design principles, and microservices concepts.

  • Knowledge of video creation and production a plus
