We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Engineering to lead our One Web teams driving the unify and modernize experience. In this role, you will spearhead the strategic development and implementation of innovative solutions that will enhance the frontend platform and drive unified delightful experience across the suite.

Responsibilities:

Customer-Centric Focus:

• Develop a deep understanding of our user journey and their evolving needs, ensuring our solutions address pain points and deliver exceptional web experiences.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of AI-powered capabilities with our customer-facing services.

• Establish a customer-first mindset within the engineering team, fostering a culture of empathy and responsiveness to customer requirements.

• Implement self-service capabilities that empower our customers and internal stakeholders to action the full lifecycle of the customer experience from provisioning a tenant and tenant health management to creating cases and finding solutions.

Technical Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and direction for major projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

• You are hands-on with code and can jump in to help the team. You maintain high technical bar, closely involved in design and architecture decisions, maintaining high standards of code quality.

• Ensure that high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability are maintained when architecting, designing, and developing complex software systems and applications.

• Ensure accountability for the team’s technical decisions and enforce engineering best practices (e.g., documentation, automation, code management, security principles, leverage CoPilot).

• Play a pivotal role in the R.I.D.E. (Review, Inspect, Decide, Execute) framework.

• Understand CI/CD pipelines from build, test, to deploy phases.

Team Management and Talent Development:

• Ability to lead multiple offshore teams to ensure successful delivery of high quality features on time.

• Be a champion of engineering and operational excellence, establish team metrics for the measurement of engineering productivity and manage a regular process for continuous improvement.

• Lead and inspire a talented team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and inclusive environment.

• Develop and execute robust talent management strategies, including recruitment, retention, and professional development.

• Empower engineers to grow their UI expertise, providing mentorship, training, and opportunities for skill enhancement.

• Implement data-driven approaches to optimize team performance and support career progression.

• Promote a culture of service ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

Execution Excellence:

• Oversee the planning, delivery, and optimization of high-impact AI-driven projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, articulating the value and impact of experience initiatives.

• Make strategic deployment decisions, effectively managing risks and tradeoffs.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps principles, and agile methodologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical leadership role.

• Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, complex UI projects.

• Deep expertise in UI technologies, architectures, and applications.

• Extensive experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and DevOps practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive organizational change.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and people management skills.

• Passion for fostering a culture of innovation and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI-powered solutions in a production environment.

• Experience in a complex, matrixed organization with a global footprint.
