Wellforce Registered Nurse, RN, Intermediate Care Medical Uni in Lowell, Massachusetts
Opportunity for a per diem RN to work close to home with a 3-time Magnet recognized community hospital.
We are seeking an experienced RN for the Intermediate Medical Care Unit on our Saints Campus. The Saints Campus combines all of the great qualities of a Magnet- recognized hospital, along with an easy to navigate, friendly-feel campus that is well loved by the surrounding community.
This unit provides intermediate level of care in an all private room model. The patient population covers a wide range of conditions including chest pain, new onset A-fib, congestive heart failure, post cardiac catheterization patients without intervention, COPD, patients requiring high flow oxygen therapy or bipap, GI bleed patients not requiring immediate intervention, substance abuse issues, and post-operative patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
The all RN staff is supplemented by nursing assistants and unit coordinators.
As a RN at Lowell General, you are responsible for delivering medicine safely and being able to provide care while following evidence based practices. Patient care is approached as a team to generate quality outcomes for patients and families.
Hours: Per diem- flexible schedule with a minimum of 8 hours per week, and able to work offshifts and weekends.
Earn off shift and per diem differentials
Strong Medical Surgical experience required, step down experience a plus
Able to read and interpret Tele strips is preferred
Excellent time management skills
Able to use electronic based charting systems. Cerner preferred.
Valid BLS. ACLS required within six months of hire.
