Description

This is a position of great importance, responsible for the complete researching of compliance tax filing requirements for federal, state and local jurisdictions for the assigned jurisdictions. These tax filing requirements are communicated to the software development teams for review and implementation into our UKG Products. This Analyst serves a critical role in assisting the product development teams in assisting customers with their tax filing needs.

In support of our culture, we are adopting a hybrid working model that mixes the flexibility of working 2 days at a UKG office, the balance of the week from home. The offices to choose from are in Lowell MA, Atlanta/Alpharetta GA, Branchburg NJ, Cleburne TX or Weston FL.

Responsibilities include:

· Researching federal/state/local legislation and regulations related to tax filing.

· Working with federal/state/local jurisdictions in obtaining requirements for generating compliant tax files.

· Working closely with development and quality assurance groups to ensure UKG Pro tax files conform to agency requirements

· Providing subject matter expertise in tax filing requirements with external and internal customers such as support, education services, professional services, and development groups.

· Monitoring daily updates from subscription services to identify tax reporting and filing compliance changes related but not limited to: federal, state, and local reporting and filing requirements.

· Analyzing and summarizing the changes to provide to development team for updating tax reporting and filing products to meet compliance requirements.

· Review and contact government agencies to clarify and confirm the tax reporting and filing compliance changes.

· Producing timely and accurate requirements for the development team and the ability to provide clarity around the requirements when asked.

Expected travel would be twice a year for team meetings and once every other year to the APA conference.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 3+ years' experience working with tax reporting and filing

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with US payroll is preferred

• Ability to interpret technical specifications from tax jurisdictions

• Ability to conduct detailed analysis and produce accurate research results

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate thoughts, positions, and ideas clearly and professionally

• Superior project planning skills with the ability to handle a substantial workload, facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment producing deliverables according to established timelines

• Team player and collaborator within the Regulatory and Tax Research Team as well as with other groups in development and within UKG required
