Description

The foundation of this role is a “people person” with strong travel category and vendor management experience. This includes negotiating contracts and managing relationships with travel partners and ensuring compliance to our Travel Policy. Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize the travel program. Create and manage travel related communications and provide ongoing training to assist U Krewers on travel policy and travel related needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal and external key point of contact for travel related matters

• Interact with travelers and address questions around policy, and other travel related matters

• Train and guide U Krewers around OBT (online booking tool) use, T&E policy, and traveler best practices

• Create and manage travel communications for the UKG Today Travel page

• Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best in class service and competitive pricing

• Negotiate and manage vendors, including pricing, contract terms, SLAs

• Manage and maintain the content and integrations for our online booking tool

• Analyze data for compliance, identify trends and make recommendations on improving traveler experience and duty of care

• Produce and manage travel reporting to include monthly and quarterly dashboard reports to various levels of the business to include interpretation of the data and provide savings recommendations

• Provide training to new hires, bookers and travelers

• Ensure resolutions to travel issues and maintain a high level of customer service

• Perform administrative duties and initiatives for travel related projects as assigned

• Be familiar with industry trends and best practices and changes in requirements related to travel

Qualifications

2-5 years of related hospitality, corporate travel and/or events experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Industry Certification (e.g. GTP) preferred

Strong written and verbal communicator across various levels of the organization

• Familiarity with the following categories: TMC, air, car, hotel, meetings, events, technology, and online booking tools are a strong plus

• Working knowledge/willingness to learn of strategic sourcing best practices, including RFP and contracting

• Reporting experience – running reports with attention to detail, analysis and basic recommendations - with strong preference on solid Power BI, Excel knowledge

• A self-starter who can independently manage multiple projects and drive savings initiatives with key partners--with minimal involvement from management

• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members at all levels of the organization or vendors as needed

• Should demonstrate the desire to continually be learning and evolving as well as already possess strong competencies in adaptability, attention to detail and time management
