Job Description Summary

Manufacturing Programs Module Leaders have responsibility to support engineering in meeting module manufacturing, budget and schedule objectives consistent with customer and GE Aerospace requirements and processes. This team is co-located with the T901 Design and Systems Engineering organizations to ensure design for producibility items are incorporated into the engine architecture throughout the design phase of the program, including during the preliminary design phase. In this role you will be responsible for the development and delivery of turbine nozzles machined at the Avio site in Pomigliano Italy. This will include material/part tracking within the IMPACT system, working with sourcing to place and update POs, and owning export licenses. You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the T901 Power Turbine design, quality (both GE Aerospace and Avio) and Avio manufacturing and casting sourcing teams to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost of 3 stages of PT nozzles.

Job Description

Manufacturing Programs Module Leader’s responsibilities include:

  • Driving CPD at the component level

  • Coordinating CPD milestone plans with engineering and suppliers

  • Coordinating hardware program milestones with engineering and suppliers

  • Supporting design for producibility activities

  • Manufacturing technical leader

  • Driving critical path hardware improvement plans

  • Participate in engineering-led tech reviews and PCB

  • Supporting hardware nonconformance resolution

  • Drawing and Development Change in Design (DCID) review and approvals

  • Earned Value Management Cost Account Manager (module/component level)

  • Supporting cost estimating

  • Supporting proposals activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Prior manufacturing experience as a Materials planner, Manufacturing Quality Engineer,

  • Quality planner or Value Process Engineer

  • Experience in New Product Introduction

  • Ability to collaborate, lead and influence across the matrix and with suppliers

  • Strong presentation skills with experience reporting out to leadership

  • Ability to make decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience in CAS and IMPACT

  • Fluent in Italian
