Eliot Community Human Services Engagement Coordinator Clubhouse in Lynn, Massachusetts

Description

Eliot is in search of an individual with a strong commitment to mental health recovery for a Clubhouse Engagement Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience and promote and maintain job opportunities in the community for the members.

Clubhouse is a fluid and flexible service that is based on the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery. Members of the clubhouse are engaged in all aspects of service delivery and empowered to identify, develop, review and revise program operations based on the needs and preferences of the membership. The program offers a restorative environment where each individual can receive supports and services related to employment, education, life skills, housing, health and wellness, social and recreational, and community linkage.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote hope, autonomy, and empowerment through person-centered supports and services.

  • Participate in the development of individualized Action Plans for each assigned program member.

  • Actively co-create and engage groups of members in meaningful work that provides therapeutic daily structure and vocational preparation as well as the development of meaningful relationships.

  • Promote the development and linkage to natural community-based supports.

  • Co-create and facilitate workshops pertinent to recovery, education, and independent living skills.

  • Provide flexible on-site and off-site employment support as needed for members.

  • Provide flexible on-site and off-site entitlement support and education for members including explanation and planning of Social Security work incentives, SNAP benefits etc.

  • Responsible for timely completion of required documentation such as daily billing, monthly notes as well as annual assessment and action plans for an assigned caseload of members.

  • Responsible to participate in member transportation with the program van.

SCHEDULE: M-F 8-4 with rotating Saturdays.

  • Computer Software Skills: Intermediate

  • Experience with population: Some Knowledge

  • Communication Skills: Intermediate

Education

Preferred

  • Associates or better

  • High School or better

  • Bachelors or better in Psychology
