General Electric Finance Cost Analyst – Earned Value Management (EVM) - GE Aviation in Lynn, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
The EVM Cost Analyst will be responsible for ensuring EVM compliance on large scale military engine programs. Additionally, the Analyst will develop and implement process simplification and operational excellence to improve cycle times and accuracy of EVM metrics. This role will require interpersonal skills to improve teamwork and collaboration across Engineering, Scheduling, Finance, and Project Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for driving and ensuring EVM compliance to US government standards on military contracts
Develop cost structures to ensure compliance to reporting requirements on assigned contracts
Directly support engineering Control Account Managers (CAMs) on proper use of EVM process and tools
Support cost variance analysis reporting
Work directly with operations (Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) to ensure compliant reporting
Provide the required EVM metrics and meet compliance guidelines
Work collaboratively with CAMs and Scheduler to produce the monthly status of work performed
Support of the EVM monthly operating reviews with internal and external Leadership Teams
Work with EVM and financial analysis software; COBRA, Clarity, and Open Plan to support program contract reporting requirements.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in finance, Earned Value Management and/or project/program management.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership skills and collaboration with the program team required.
Demonstrated ability to recognize, analyze and resolve problems within a disciplined monthly business rhythm.
Review, update and development of standard work documentation (SOP) a plus.
