GE Aerospace Senior Supplier Quality Engineer - Controls & Accessories in Lynn, Massachusetts

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers within the Controls and Accessories Commodity. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed. You should have in-depth knowledge of quality management best practices and have working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

This role is eligible for remote work - preference will be given to those candidates near major GE Aerospace suppliers or engine test locations. Targeted locations include Cincinnati OH, Lynn MA, Southern CA,, NY, and Eastern PA.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring within the Controls and Accessories Commodity.

  • Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers

  • Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers

  • Identify gaps in quality system and implement corrective actions

  • Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives

  • Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations

  • Travel required up to 25%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution

  • A minimum of 5 years in skillset

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management

  • Project leadership experience

  • Experience manufacturing engine or airframe controls or accessories; Examples include: FADEC, sensors, valves, actuators, fuel controls, starters, heat exchangers, harnesses, filters, flex hoses, etc.

  • Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
