Summary:
The Senior Business Data Analyst will work with the Business Analytics and Business Intelligence team tobuild, operate, maintain, and grow the platforms and applications for operations, quality and HR teams among others with EPIC, Tableau and Microsoft SQL Servers as our core platforms. We partner closely with our internal customers to deliver technology solutions needed to grow and improve our core business processes and needs, under the direction of the Director Business Analytics.
Provides complex data analysis in support of key organizational goals.
Assembles, analyzes and synthesizes a variety of data types accumulated within any of the organization’s data systems.
Produces automated reporting systems.
Ensures coordination with other groups within the organization in obtaining data. Ensures the integrity of data received and that discrepancies are resolved
Analyzes, organizes and compiles data into a variety of presentation formats to meet the needs of numerous ad hoc quality projects. Ensures that end users are satisfied with the final results.
Participates in cross-organizational projects as assigned; supports cross-functional data sourcing, analysis and reporting, and works to resolve issues.
Conducts complex data analyses and graphical display of data independently. Assists with interpreting performance reports and identifying variances and opportunities for improvement.
Provides technical and administrative direction to peers and less-experienced staff. Educates other staff and clients in the use of data reporting standards, new tools, and procedures.
Takes a lead role when participating in Quality Improvement projects
Support data extraction and submissions to external databases/performance measurement systems and manipulate and report on data provided by these sources.
Leads projects independently, identifies data analysis needs, and works with peers and less-experienced staff to meet these needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree (Masters degree preferred) in health information management, information systems, computer science, epidemiology, statistics, or business management. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education.
7 years of business data analytics experience required
DesiredTechnical Experience:
Proven analytical and conceptual design skills; strong problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail, initiative, problem solving and time management
Experience in the following software applications is a plus: EPIC systems, SQL Server Management Studio, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Python
Desired experience: Data modeling, Meta Data Documentation
