Kelly Services Environmental Health and Safety Manager in Mansfield, Massachusetts

Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturer, is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager in Mansfield, MA

This is a direct hire position, meaning you will be hired directly with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Hours: 1st shift hours!

Positions:

  • Evaluate current EHS programs and activities to ensure compliance with all government agency and regulatory requirements.

  • Report, monitor, and correct environmental, health, and safety problems/issues.

  • Guide and promote safe work practices by developing proactive EHS systems, policies, and procedures; develop safety and environmental campaigns, communications, and recognitions in line with business strategies.

  • Maintain unique approaches to adult learning, and conduct training for all employees, use creative approaches to train in multiple languages

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory EHS policies, standards, guidelines, and programs to meet the overall improvement strategy.

  • Assist in developing and achieving environmental and safety goals, including injury, water, energy, and waste reduction.

  • Manage safety reporting (injury, lessons learned, incident investigation, etc.) programs.

  • Maintain a PPE program (gloves, hearing protection, safety shoes, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain safety programs to advance safety culture (e.g., Behavior-Based Safety).

  • Administer a local environmental, health and safety audit program, including industrial hygiene.

  • Manage basic environmental compliance programs (Storm Water Pollution Prevention, spill prevention, etc.).

  • Maintain OSHA Logs and other legal reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of similar experience

  • Bachelors Degree is a plus

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

  • Ability to build up a strong EHS department

  • Strong working knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

  • Knowledgeable in the technical fundamentals of safety management and risk assessments and reduction, including machinery safety, ergonomics, and occupational health.

  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 EHS management systems is a plus.

  • Experience in plastics, injection molding, thermoforming, or packaging is a plus.
