State of Massachusetts Vocational Instructor (C) in Mansfield, Massachusetts

The Department of Developmental Services is looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Vocational Instructor C (VOC C) to provide consultation and guidance to the Vocational Instructors A/B (VOC A/B). The VOC C will assist with practices and procedures that will maximize the potential of the individuals they support. The ideal candidate encourages and implements department directives, displays a positive attitude and motivates others to work as a team; ensures that operations at the program are followed and that adherence to scheduled activities and rules of the workplace are followed. _Job Responsibilities:_ (The duties and responsibilities stated are general summary and not all inclusive.) * Ensure the supported individuals are successfully engaged in meaningful activities in order to meet their individual, vocational, and day program goals. * Responsiblefor programdevelopment based on assessment results and Individual Service Plans (ISP), work directly with individuals complete data on production and attendance as necessary. * Facilitates and leads groups, both on and off site ensuring safety, community integration, and active job coaching including production outcomes at the redemption centers, and off site at employment locations. * Provide transportation to individuals to and from work sites. * Ensure compliance with the Department of Labor regulations, employer standards, Agency policies and Ferderal and State Regulations. The VOC C will maintain a safe, clean and pleasant work environment and perform other related duties as required. _Required Qualifications:_ * At least two years of full-time or equivalent part-time, experience in vocational or industrial training or vocational or industrial instruction. * _SUBSTITIONS_: - A Bachelor's or higher degree in industrial arts or vocational education may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Ability to develop and maintain a respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical, and empowering relationship with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. * Capability to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility. * Ability to transcribe read and comprehend the English language. _Agency Requirements:_ * Candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. * Must possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. * After successfully completing a training program, the selected candidate must acquire and maintain; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certification. _Please note: The work location for this position is in Mansfield, MA._ _SCHEDULE Information:_ Full-time – 40 hour weekly position.
