You will thrive as this reputable business's Accounting Clerk, if you can handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and some projects within the office. This position is a permanent role and is located in the Marlborough, Massachusetts area. What you get to do every single day

• Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable

• Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes

• Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

• Add financial information to journals and ledgers

• Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects

• Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed

• Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

  Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Expertise in Check Runs

• Microsoft PowerPoint experience

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Manage Vendor Relationships experience

• Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

• Ability to multitask effectively

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
