Sunovion Corporate Financial Strategy, Planning & Analysis Internship in Marlborough, Massachusetts
This summer internship will offer college and university students an amazing opportunity to gain hands on experience within the pharmaceutical industry. This program allows students to work closely with business leaders while obtaining industry insight. Interns will be tasked with both individual and group projects. The Internship Program will offer additional workshops and seminars for your career and professional development. We are seeking talented individuals within multiple areas across the organization.
Sumitomo Pharma America Holdings, Inc. (SMPA) supports certain affiliates of Sumitomo Pharma Group by providing professional shared services expertise to achieve greater efficiencies and enable discovery, development and commercialization of innovative treatments to help patients.
Specific Internship Description:
This intern will have cross-functional exposure within the organization to participate in any number of the following:
Assist with forecasting process (attend dept. forecast meetings, assist with forecast templates, upload & validate data, create & present review slides and dashboards).
Assist with month-end close process (assist with business accrual templates, joural entries, account reconciliations, create & present and review slides).
Reporting support (update dept dashboards, support committed spend reporting, Tableau reporting and assist with ad hoc reporting)
Gain understanding of and hand on experience with a financial planning/forecasting process.
Gain expereince with Hyperion software suite.
Gain understanding with the Tableau reporting platform.
Develop skills to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
Produce high quality documents utilizing various Microsoft Office Products.
Develop time management skills and the ability to be responsible for multiple priorities.
Gain insight into the pharmaceutical industry.
Enrolled in undergraduate degree program in Finance or Accounting
Must have completed their sophomore year of study
Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
Abide by corporate policies, work in professional environment and meet deadlines
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word.)
Strong communication skills and passion for continued development
Covid-19 Vaccinations are required
Position will begin on Monday June 5, 2023
Position is located remotely in the US
Position is full-time Monday through Friday – up to 40 hours per week
Candidates should be available to commit to 10 weeks
