Job Description Summary
The Director of Business Analytics and Sales Operations, will provide leadership to support and execute on business insights solutions and partner with cross functional teams within Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) to build scalable business analytics solutions for better data driven decision making. This Director will be highly motivated, a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage the work of a staff that supports applications, systems and processes used by the business teams
Provide people leadership to team - managing day to day operations, goal setting, career development, performance management and growth of team members; determines work priorities and schedules assignments and projects as needed
Support SFDC Strategy, Effectiveness and Adoption focused on the sales team, sales management, commercial operations and marketing
Become a trusted partner to department leaders while educating stakeholders on the value of business intelligence solutions, how to use them successfully, and best practices
Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, customer service and other teams to develop and maintain an enterprise-wide information model that contains current and future data requirements for internal and external customers
Responsible for the implementation of strategic, tactical, and operational pricing initiatives.
Lead Business Intelligence and analytics strategy and execution
Lead Variable Compensation strategy and execution: Plan Design, SPIFF development, quota strategy, and reporting
Manage the master data set governance across multiple internal and external vendor data sets: Customer, Physician and Product
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their evolving data needs and develop and execute on analytics to meet those needs while driving towards improved outcomes and overall performance metrics
Work with engineering teams who design and build the data platforms in support of the longer-term vision
Support development, maintenance, and enhancement for application systems for commercial operations and business use; assesses customer requirements, evaluates possible solutions and presents recommendations to IT
Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and develop long term strategy for various reporting solutions.
Qualifications:
At least 8-10 years of progressive, multi-functional experience in Business Intelligence/Analytics experience (preferably in a healthcare setting) to include experience in visualization/BI tools
3-4 years of experience managing and developing more junior level analysts
Expertise in BI reporting and database management platforms including Qlik, , PowerBI, Einstein Analytics, SQL, ETL scripts
Experience with SFDC Analytics, Reporting and Dashboards
Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams on key initiatives and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
Strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts
Solid understanding of statistical analysis
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to think logically and effectively assimilate meaningful information from large amounts of data ensuring critical deadlines are met
Skilled in analyzing, interpreting and solving complex business problems
Proven ability to be team oriented and self-directed
Competent within the MS Office Suite, proficient Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field – data science, finance, statistics, economics, engineering
Masters degree is desirable (MIDS, MIS, MBA)
Machine learning (AI) application experience
SAP and Oracle Fusion knowledge
Programming experience (Python, Java, JSON, etc.)
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) knowledge
