The Forecasting Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of new launch forecasts including developing and maintaining epidemiology and prescription based models. This includes identifying key inputs, scenarios, and performance indicators. The selected candidate will have demonstrated excellence in consensus building, characterizing and communicating uncertainty, and be able to explain issues from aggregate trends to modeling mechanics. The selected candidate is responsible for complete, accurate, and timely forecasts. This role requires close collaboration with Finance.

Summary of Responsibilities: The Forecasting Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of new launch forecasts including developing and maintaining epidemiology and prescription based models. This includes identifying key inputs, scenarios, and performance indicators. The selected candidate will have demonstrated excellence in consensus building, characterizing and communicating uncertainty, and be able to explain issues from aggregate trends to modeling mechanics. The selected candidate is responsible for complete, accurate, and timely forecasts. This role requires close collaboration with Finance.

Essential Functions: • Lead the forecasting process for assigned brands and gain consensus from multiple partners without direct reporting authority.

• Ensure that forecasts address the impact of market dynamics and critical events, are logically designed and well documented.

• Ensure accuracy of all forecasts with regards to price (gross to net) and volume, challenge assumptions and ensure final forecasts are communicated to marketing, finance and manufacturing within established timeline.

• Participate in ad-hoc projects by working collaboratively across product teams and other functional departments.

• Implement quality control processes into the forecast process.

• Develops new analytical methods to facilitate management’s ability to make strategic decisions.

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelors

Experience Required: 7 - 10 Years

Knowledge & Skills (General and Technical): • BS, MS/MBA Preferred.

• 5-10 years of pharmaceutical forecasting including new launch forecasting.

• Time Series and Monte Carlo analysis using Excel

Substantive experience with sales and demand forecasting and quantitative methodologies.

• Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced, multifunctional team environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills required.

• Strong communication and organization skills, team oriented, customer focused and detail oriented.

• Experience with contract pricing and payer dynamics.
