Job Title: Dispatcher Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of drivers and vehicles to ensure efficient transportation operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between drivers, customers, and management. Responsibilities: 1. Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment for transportation services based on customer requests, schedules, and availability. 2. Monitor drivers\' progress and ensure timely arrivals and departures according to established schedules. 3. Communicate effectively with drivers and provide necessary information regarding routes, passengers, and special instructions. 4. Maintain accurate records of dispatching activities, including logs, schedules, and driver assignments. 5. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner. 6. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule routine vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure fleet readiness. 7. Utilize dispatching software and communication devices (e.g., radios, phones) to maintain communication with drivers and management. 8. Assist in the recruitment and training of new drivers, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. 9. Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Qualifications: *Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role, preferably in School transportation or logistics. *Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. *Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, customers, and team members. Fluent in English and Spanish. *Available to start early and dependable and environment. *Proficiency in using dispatching software and GPS systems to track vehicles and monitor routes. *Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in stressful situations. *High school diploma or equivalent; *Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs. Physical Requirements: *Ability to sit for extended periods and work in a fast-paced, *Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds.
