The Service Inside Sales position requires an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is able to support the growth of sales, contract placement and the operations of the Service and Support organization.
Drive improvement in service contract business including timeliness of renewals, warranty conversion, and selling new services. Serve as a point of contact to customers, sales, engineers and supplier with the objective of retaining growing business.
Provide customers with all vital information in order to facilitate the service agreement transactions.
Direct sales of contracts, including pricing and proposals. Work closely with Service Team and supplier to find opportunities, provide leads, and add service agreements. You will provide leads to Service Management and Outside Service understanding customer purchasing trends on service, supplies and parts.
Participate in service campaign development and find opportunities for inbound and outbound campaigns, early renewal incentive programs, customer loyalty programs, etc.
Contact and convert customers to supplemental warranties upon labor warranty expiration. Developing materials for use by Field Service Engineers to facilitate an increase in supplemental warranties.
Develop process and materials for converting customers from supplemental warranty to full service maintenance agreements.
Aid in proposal generation for new and existing customers.
Process service agreements and one-time service billings.
Assist customers with inquiries or issues concerning their contracts and billings.
Provide timely follow up and feedback provided for all customer issues.
Maintain effective communication with customers, sales and service to ensure accurate billing and contract renewal.
Collaborate with Legal and Finance on contract term negotiations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assigned specific offline projects and daily operations activities.
Must have exceptional communication, interpersonal, listening, and business sense skills. Standout colleague and team oriented.
Fast learner with strong sales skills with ability to be creative, persuasive and understand business offerings quickly
Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office skills - specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to comfortably communicate and interact with Customers and Team members
Self-starter that can work independently and take action with a focus on continuous improvement
Results oriented - able to clearly separate effort from results. Must possess the ability to quickly capture data, identify trends/issues, clearly communicate next steps and aggressively follow-up to ensure that opportunities are closed.
Must be self-driven and willing to take the initiative to respond to and/or address challenging situations.
Willingness to take on new tasks and learn new processes and systems
Ability to work onsite in Marlboro MA in a team environment as well as remote / home office if needed
Current and or prior telemarketing/inside sales and customer service experience. Manufacturing industry for Biotech / Life Sciences / Medical is preferred.
Experience communicating value propositions; using customer database and selling tools.
Basic understanding of revenue, profit, and margin
Undergraduate degree is preferred but not required.
