Purpose & Scope

The Electronics and Industrial (E&I) Continuous Improvement Resource / Program Manager role is a leveraged role that resides in a leveraged Continuous Improvement (CI) team within Integrated Operations. The CI team is accountable for defining and leading the implementation of Integrated Operations, and Business work processes, improvements, and standards, including the DuPont Operational Excellence framework. The team is also the primary source of program/project leadership for a diverse and complex range of initiatives. This role supports End2End process excellence and organizational effectiveness through the development and application of standard methods, processes, designs, tools, metrics, and training for Global Integrated Operations functions (Demand, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Logistics) and Commercial functions, as well as select corporate initiatives. Lean/Six sigma methodologies are utilized to drive excellence through program and project leadership, as well as in select coaching of manufacturing operations.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead projects programs and/or workstreams across multiple functions and businesses utilizing Lean/Six Sigma to accomplish improvements and results, revenue and/or margin growth, organizational effectiveness and/or productivity savings as part of Supply Chain Effectiveness, Operational Excellence and/or Business/Functional Strategies. This includes active involvement to ensure effective planning, team collaboration, issue tracking, communication, decision making and milestone management.

  • Support the building of efficient Supply Chains and/or the execution of a Supply Chain Transformations. This involves a significant emphasis upon internal and external Supply Chain processes, strategies, structures, and ERP system setup, as well as consulting with SMEs, IT and Data groups to coordinate implementation.

  • May lead projects and/or facilitate the development of multi-year strategies for complex initiatives or business areas, including product launches and portfolio management, new plant site openings, Integrated Business Processes, Supply Chain and Integrated Operations design and planning, among others.

  • Provide select coaching and Kaizen event support within E&I’s Lean Manufacturing (PDL) and Operational Excellence programs, or as Business/functional projects and programs require. This involves an emphasis upon helping teams identify value and prioritize.

  • Utilize specialized tools and standard methodologies (e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to aid functions, businesses and/or manufacturing operations to identify, develop, implement and sustain improvements and best practices. This could include detailed reviews and analysis of datasets to identify trends and reveal potential opportunities.

  • Act as advisor to project or program stakeholders and ensure awareness and alignment as required to incorporate and adjust for findings, resolve problems and meet milestones.

  • Assist in gap analysis and evaluations of the capability of Supply Chains, functions and/or Operations with regard to people, processes, and tools.

  • Lead and/or facilitate efforts driving the standardization of Supply Chain and/or Operational processes including the integration with business systems.

  • Work independently with minimal guidance to contribute to the development and/or execution of site, business, functional or product strategies and/or objectives

  • Operate with bias for action and decision-making; using judgment and experience to make and/or facilitate decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

  • Solve technical, operational, design or process challenges (often with vague/unstructured aspects) including providing new perspectives on existing solutions.

  • Proactively expand knowledge through targeted learning and networking as required to lead projects and support efforts to achieve objectives

  • Draft charters for improvement projects with closely defined benefits, scope, resource requirements and project plan with milestones and timeline.

  • Design and/or manage change processes by ensuring the achievement of projects to time, cost and specification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related Technical Field

  • 5 years minimum applicable experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing role

  • Multi-year project/program management experience, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering quality results on-time and in-full, as well as leading diverse teams

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Trained and capable

  • ERP competency (SAP / Business Warehouse (BW))

  • APICS CPIM preferred

  • Able to demonstrate substantial knowledge and depth in one or more of the following: Continuous Improvement, Change Management, Demand/Supply Planning & Scheduling, Lean/Kaizen application in manufacturing and/or Operational Excellence Transformation, Digital Transformation, SAP/BW, Customer Service, Logistics

Location is Wilmington, DE - however, will consider other North American based locations in immediate proximity to E&I operations

Travel is required for this role.
