  WHAT YOU’LL DO

  At TJX, the mission of the Global Site Solutions Organization is to drive holistic technology strategy to enable the entire end-to-end lifecycle of a TJX site. We are embarking on a multiyear journey to modernize and enhance over 40 applications to support Real Estate, Store Planning, Property Development, and Workplace Services value stream to deliver more value for our global business partners.

  We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will be accountable for the technical management, engineering health, and engineering talent management for the Global Site Solutions Organization. This people leader will have 5-8 direct reports and is expected to be well versed in DevSecOps and agile/SAFe best practices, familiar with modern cloud-based solutions, solutions architecture, and evangelize an engineering mindset within the team to maximize business value. Your focus on coaching, mentoring, developing, and growing engineering talent on the team will bring our organization to new heights.

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct people management responsibility for engineers at varying level of seniority

• Coaches, leads, and develops engineering talent

• Represents the product team as a member of Engineering Community of Practice

• Partners with stakeholders to drive technical solutions that meet business needs and to ensure roadmaps & strategies align to architectural standards

• Ensures mechanisms for technical oversight are in place

• Ensures best engineering practices are followed/adopted for operational excellence

• Contributes to high level architecture to drive engineering & operational excellence

• Accountable for product health and delivering on engineering operational targets

• First point of contact for strategic requests from a technology perspective

• Acts as an escalation point for issues related to delivery of technical components

  WHAT YOU’LL NEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience

• 10+ years of experience with at least 5+ years in years of experience leading and developing teams as a manager/lead

• Experience as a technical lead on large full lifecycle implementations of SaaS and on-prem applications

• Experience in agile/SAFe methodology

• Technical leader with extensive business facing experience, taking ideas from conception to implementation

• Experience with source code control and continuous integration tools

• Problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems

• Strong team management and organization skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct a global workgroup

• Strong performance management skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members across multiple levels and accountable for commitments

• Well versed in DevSecOps best practices and familiar with Cloud Technologies

• Experience with agile/SAFe delivery model

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in diverse portfolio of applications is a plus

• Knowledge of Java, SQL, DB, and Server-side configurations

• SAFe certification

• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS)

• Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g.

  Jenkins)
