American Tower IT PMO Intern in Marlborough, Massachusetts

The Team

We are seeking an IT Project and Portfolio Management Organization (“IT PMO”) Intern to join American Tower’s Enterprise IT organization. T he IT PMO Intern supports the IT PMO with project scheduling and budgets, resource management, governance, and reporting. The incumbent supports Project Managers (“PM”) to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished. Support tasks include, but are not limited to, taking meeting minutes, performing system updates, coordinating meetings, and drafting communications. The incumbent also provides support to Small Project PMs, including monitoring and updating information in the project management system to ensure project data are up to date. The incumbent also coordinates and prepares reports and summaries of results to be used at various organizational levels.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Support the IT PMO with project scheduling and budgets (i.e., entering related information into the project management system), resource management, governance (i.e., updating databases and uploading related documents), and reporting.

  • Support Small Projects PMs, ensuring project management system is up to date and adheres to ePMO reporting standards.

  • Support PMs to ensure smooth and timely completion of projects.

  • Prepare and coordinate regional-level reporting, ensuring adherence to reporting governance and standards.

  • Assist with communications, project schedules, and reports associated with project budget and planning processes.

  • Support Resource Managers with resource over/under project allocations and assist with resolving issues.

  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments and assist the IT PMO with various ad hoc requests.

  • Other duties as assigned .

What You Need to Succeed

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills to support project reporting requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio). MS Project a plus.
