responsibilities:

The Center for Biological Innovation (CBI) is a company Center of Excellence that utilizes in vitro and ex vivo approaches, such as biochemical, cell-based, microbial, and tissue-based assays to support the design, development and commercialization of company products. The successful Laboratory Technician candidate should have appropriate scientific experience to provide the technical support required for supporting in vitro biomedical research studies.

  • Supporting in vitro hemocompatibility testing of blood contacting devices at the bench

  • Following experimental protocols and executing on tasks both independently and with guidance from senior team members

  • Assisting with preparation of data for reporting and presentation

  • Optimizing and troubleshooting technical assays

  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records

qualifications:

  • 3 Years with Associate with Biology degree/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

  • Hands on experience in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, hemocompatibility evaluation, immunostaining, flow cytometry, and/or microscopy

  • Ability to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a changing environment

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and on an individual basis

  • Results and detail-oriented
