A Lead Systems Engineer job in Marlborough, MA is currently accepting applications. This is a 12-month contract position with our key biotechnology client. In this role, you will develop & implement procedures for maintaining and or enhancing the integrity of IT and OT systems and applications. You will also ensure that requirements are clearly defined and testable. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associates degree (or local equivalent) or a High School diploma (or local equivalent) with at least 5 years technical experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize initiative and independent judgment, construct, evaluate and improve complex engineering models using conceptual descriptions and ideas.
Anticipate troubleshooting needs and perform complex troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Configuring and troubleshooting network devices (switches, routers) and utilizing a basic knowledge of putty.
Configuring windows systems network cards (IP addresses).
Perform basic Windows systems administration tasks (user/group management, group policy).
Perform diverse and complex assignments in support of test and evaluation
Documenting network configurations and system changes.
May be responsible for the maintenance, training, and information communications for tools used to support the product development process.
Set up and running of data acquisition equipment for tests, carrying out experiments, troubleshooting, and reporting/documenting results of tests and measures, lead compliance and quality activities, and train other team members
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree with at least 3 years of technical experience OR
A High School diploma with at least 5 years of technical experience
Demonstrated intuitive and advanced proficiency to logically troubleshoot up to system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques with previous experience
Must have the ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and coordinate implementation of corrections to the existing design or process
Must have a high proficiency to interpret and explain complex technical information
Must possess CompTIA Network+ Cert
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with little to no direction
Basic Scripting or programming skills
Background in Sysadmin work, with networking experience preferred
