Production Machine Operator - 2nd Shift Marlborough, MA Responsibilities: \ Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order \ Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift \ Monitor machines during shift to ensure running effectively \ Troubleshoot problems as necessary \ Perform regular and preventative maintenance \ Perform random tests to ensure accuracy. Perform safety checks \ Ensure that machines are producing quality products \ Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy \ Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently \ Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality \ Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care \ Report any machinery issues to management \ Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals \ Maintain a clean and safe work area \ Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management \ Attend all safety and production trainings Qualifications: \ High school diploma or equivalent required \ 2+ years\' experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred \ Flexible schedule and willingness to work on different shifts preferred \ Must be available for weekends/occasional overtime. Able to work 8-hour shifts standing \ Ability to read and understand technical manuals. Ability to read a tape measure \ Ability to differentiate colors \ Ability to work independently. Ability to multitask Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; ability to use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work Location: \ On site, in person Second shift position (3:00pm- 1:30am)
