The Senior Global Sourcing Category Leader will work closely with our global sourcing team and supplier quality team to ensure selection, growth and management of a strategic supplier base for the Key Tech commodity with a permanent focus on delivering excellent KPI performance for both existing products and New Product Developments. You’ll act as a technical expert for Key Tech in the global sourcing organization and across stakeholders – coaching on technologies, market trends and technology decisions. You’ll work closely with Supplier Quality organization to ensure selected strategic supplier have and/or develop the required capabilities to meet Cytiva design expectations.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing and is part of the Global Sourcing Organization and will be onsite in Duncan, SC or Marlborough, MA facility. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Market intelligence: Keep track and communicate on ongoing trends in the market for owned category, including raw materials index/trends, overall market trends and supplier landscape dynamics

  • Build, implement and maintain a long-term strategic roadmap supporting Cytiva’s product & technology roadmap across all OpCos commercializing Hardware products – ensure strategic roadmap delivers on expectation to Cytiva KPIs, especially long term security of supply

  • Manage directly key strategic partners/suppliers & vendors – develop joint long term business roadmap, secure significant contributions to Cytiva’s KPI targets and C-level interactions between supplier and Cytiva

  • Act as a mentor for site Category Lead on technology and supplier management

  • Provide clear and continuous guidance to New Product Development team on supplier selection – support identified gaps to ensure success of NPDs

Who you are:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or technical discipline highly preferred, with 5+ years experience sourcing and working with suppliers/vendors

  • Demonstrated effective influencer and able to guide in regard to cross-functional aspects of technology development

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate and implement a sourcing strategy

  • Agile with cross-functional collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 15%
